METAPRINT® FlexoCare UV

Low migration printing ink

METAPRINT® FlexoCare UV is the new, low migration, UV drying, prepared printing ink by SCHLENK used for flexo printing. Due to its low migration properties, this new series is outstanding for printing high-quality food packaging.

Advantages of METAPRINT® FlexoCare UV

The new printing ink series is produced with selected raw materials and in compliance with the respective legal and regulatory specifications. Because it is a low migration ink and has good organoleptic properties (regarding effects on odor and taste), METAPRINT® FlexoCare UV printing ink is the ideal choice for high quality food packaging. The independent institute ISEGA has confirmed that the METAPRINT® FlexoCare UV series is not associated with migration problems (see certificate).

The raw materials used are all 100% UV drying, so METAPRINT® FlexoCare UV does not contain any volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

The printing ink series offers high metallic brilliance and, at the same time, very good coverage capacity and excellent printability. SCHLENK guarantees storage stability of 6 months under dark and cool conditions.

Please note the following information regarding the process chain for food packaging:
Our customers are responsible for monitoring all of the steps in the process chain for printing and for the packaging of foods. The information provided by the SCHLENK company regarding process parameters and UV drying conditions and procedures are recommendations for obtaining a low migration product. To guarantee that migration is not a problem, the printing conditions and printing substrates must also meet the requirements for food packaging. Furthermore, cross contamination along the process chain from the manufacturer to the end user must be prevented, i.e. contamination by the raw material producer, printing ink manufacturer, printing  plants, the manufacturers and processors of printing substrates and the storage conditions.
