Great success for KITA (Children's Day Care Centre) Award

This was the second time that the Ingeborg von SCHLENK Foundation sponsored the Young Researchers Award for nursery schools. Comprehensive works following the motto of "We're Exploring our Habitat" were submitted. The jury - Dr. Daniela von SCHLENK, Stephan Werhahn, businessman and grandson of Konrad Adenauer, and Chamber of Commerce and Industry network coordinator Lesche - awarded prizes to the four best entries.

A large audience made up of parents, children, teachers, nursery school teachers and many political and business representatives attended when the winning nursery schools received cash prizes in the range of € 250 to € 1,000. The first prize went to the Sonnenschein (Sunshine) Kindergarten in Leerstetten, followed by the Heilige Drei Könige (Epiphany) Nursery School in Roth, Villa Regenbogen (Rainbow) in Eckersmühlen and Arche Noah (Noah's Ark).
