Impressions at the ECS 2017

SCHLENK presented innovative products at the key exhibition of the coatings industry. The eyecatcher - the classic car- coated with the newest pigment generation Zenexo® GoldenShine.

Following the “Goddess” Citroën DS and the racy Lotus Esprit, the choice this year was a beautiful 1966 Corvette C2 Sting Ray. According to the classic car concept, the appearance of the trade show stand is determined by the home country of the classic car: seating areas like in an American diner on Route 66 along with a juke box and a bar.

The design concept, itself good enough for a film, was even announced on the title page of the trade show magazine. The publication stated that visitors should absolutely not miss seeing the vintage car. And many people took this tip to heart, based on the crowds at the stand. All day long, a jumble of English voices dominated in conversation. This was not only an indicator of the keen interest, but also of the international nature of the largest, most significant trade show for the coatings and paint industry, held from April 21 - 23, which attracted professionals in this area from around the globe.

Schlenk was represented with a 120 square meter stand in the new Hall 7A. This time, a French design concept was used. Increased attention in the trade press and among the public was assured. After three days of exciting trade fair events and high level knowledge exchange, the 12th European Coatings Show in Nuremberg, again very successful, came to an end. With 962 exhibitors from 42 countries in seven trade show halls and around 26,000 trade visitors from more than 100 countries, this was the largest and most important trade show in the world regarding the production of high quality coatings and inks.
