In pyrotechnics, lamellar aluminium powders and flakes are used in addition to other fuels and effect makers in firecrackers and small rockets (sound effects), in fireworks (propellant and light effects), for stage effects, in sparklers and in other pyrotechnical products.

Civil explosives (“slurries”)

In the explosives industry, lamellar aluminium powders are mainly used in safe explosives for civil purposes ("slurries") in mining and for specialized applications (e.g. avalanche explosions). In addition to aluminium flakes, foil grit - irregularly shaped granules made of recycled packaging foils - is also used here.
