Effect pigments, aluminium pigments

For many years now, metallic effects have been popular with cars. Pure silver colors or those containing a mixture of aluminium pigments with transparent colored pigments or other effect pigments are important styling features in the automobile industry.

The colors and effect consistency demanded by the automobile industry require a great deal of production reliability, quality assurance and extensive quality control. Both systems that contain solvents and, increasingly, water-based coatings are used.   For the original painting of semi-trucks, buses, etc., air drying and low-bake systems are used because there are few curing facilities of the right size available. These coating systems can be compared with repair coatings.
