Silver
Silver is a very workable noble metal with the highest degree of electrical conductivity of all metals. It can be rolled into very thin foils.
In addition, among metals silver is the best thermal conductor. It provides very good shielding and anti-bacterial effects and is resistant to oxidation.
Silver is about 20 times more common than gold, but 700 times rarer than copper. The element symbol Ag refers to the Latin word "argentum", or silver.
SCHLENK offers the following standard types of silver:
- Ag (fine silver, silver content > 99.9%)
- Ag 925 (Sterling silver; 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper)
Other types of silver can be processed, we would be happy to assist you.
