New fine Decomet® STV 7µ type

Roth-Barnsdorf, 13.02.2025

Decomet® STV 2002 07/20 S0 (Silica Treated VMP) is based on an ultra-thin aluminium substrate that has been stabilized with silicon dioxide. The special surface passivation optimizes the pigment for a wide range of applications and ensures excellent stability and performance, even under demanding conditions.

The typical properties of a VMP pigment include high reflectivity, low particle thickness and particle diameter and enable the realization of chrome effects and an almost texture-free surface appearance (“non-flake appearance”).

Unique selling points
• Suitable for solvent and water-based applications
• exceptionally high flop
• excellent hiding power
• homogeneous surface structure (“non-flake appearance”)
• improved particle size distribution for a better appearance
• invisible surface treatment to maintain the VMP-effect properties
• very good resistance to hydrolysis and moisture

Areas of application
• Chrome-like effects in coating and screen printing applications
• Ideal for automotive interior and rim wheel paints
• Reverse printing or coatings for mirror effects
• Industrial and plastic coatings
• Especially recommended for single-layer coatings with increased resistance
