SCHLENK - USA
Schlenk has a long tradition in the USA. The company here was originally founded with its own production in New York State in 1904.
In 1978, SCHLENK bought O.A. Both in Ashland, Massachusetts as a location for producing gold bronze pigments. SCHLENK then brought the company together with Wolstenholme (MD-Both) in a joint venture. In 2006, SCHLENK parted ways with Wolstenholme and initially continued operations at the location under the name Schlenk Both Metallic Pigments.
Today, under the name of Schlenk Metallic Pigments, metallic effect printing inks are produced in Ashland. Technical application laboratories for the paint and printing ink industries offer comprehensive technical service. Together with local dealers and representatives, a sales and customer service team offers the entire range of SCHLENK Group products in North America.
In 2020 SCHLENK took over a foil manufacturer in Lawrance, Kansas. This location of SCHLENK produces vacuum metallized foils as the basis for our innovative products in Barnsdorf. With this step, SCHLENK now guarantees its own supplies of an important pre-product under its own management.
